CONNECTD COACHING was founded by Rick Bond to offer you the most innovative and effective life skills. Rick has more than 40 years experience in relational and leadership development, motivational speaking, generational studies and couples and family coaching.
Rick has served as Vice President of an international training organization since 1995, equipping leaders and speaking to groups in more than 30 countries around the world.
Prior to that, he was Youth Director at a South Florida non-profit organization, working with middle school and high school students and their families.
Rick spent 18 years on staff as Area Director for a youth organization in Maryland, Connecticut and South Florida, developing young leaders, building organizational strategy, and speaking to large groups.
Rick received his B.A. in Psychology from University of Maryland, and his M.A. from Fuller Theological Seminary. He’s been married to his wife Carol for 45 years.
Rick has a proven track-record of mentoring people of all ages and a diversity of backgrounds. He is called upon frequently as a guest speaker at local colleges and universities. He values being a multi-cultural competent coach and thrives at working towards inclusion and social justice in all he does.
His goal is to assist you in getting the very maximum out of your potential in your professional and personal endeavors.
Carol comes to Connectd Coaching with tremendous experience and knowledge, particularly in the area of families with children who have physical, emotional, and intellectual challenges. As the mother of a child with Cerebral Palsy, Carol spent 20 years researching and practicing innovative teaching techniques that proved highly effective and was very involved with the Institutes for the Achievement of Human Potential, in Philadelphia, PA. Her youngest son, Joshua, though limited in his speech, learned to read at age four.
Having graduated from University of Maryland with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Elementary Education, Carol has been called on over and over by parents, educators and peers for assistance in developing personalized solutions to their needs and goals. Her highly relatable style gives her the ability to assess others in ways that encourages and inspires confidence so that they will experience personal success.
In addition to her expertise with children with special needs, Carol has also spent 9 years as a Broward County School classroom teacher at the elementary level. She is currently certified by the State of Florida to teach students from K-6. Very early in her tenure, she was recognized by the administration as a highly effective educator and thus certified as the primary Gifted Endorsed (Florida) teacher for each of the grades she taught, as well as ESOL Endorsed (Florida). At the present time, Carol is regularly substitute teaching at Pine Crest School in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, as well as Life Coaching.
Before her time as an educator, Carol spent nearly 30 years working with teenagers and their families through two youth-oriented, faith-based organizations. Her ability to communicate meaningfully with parents and children alike gives her a rare advantage as a teacher and Life Coach. “Building a relationship and working with an individual has given me the most satisfaction”, says Carol of her teaching and mentoring career.
Carol has been married to her husband, Rick, since 1970. Moving from Connecticut, they have resided in Ft. Lauderdale since 1984. Her two surviving sons are both grown and married with children of their own.
In her “down time” Carol absolutely loves traveling the world, going on beach bike rides with her husband and spending time with her three wonderful grandchildren.
